Shelving

MWS offers two diverse styles of steel shelving with many accessory options to add on including: modular drawers, bin dividers, cabinet doors and more. Clip Shelving & Rivet Wedge Lock are the two most common styles of shelving used, fully adjustable and available in capacities from 200# to 1,500# per shelf. Clip shelving & Rivet Wedge Lock shelving sets up fast and is fully adjustable, ideal for small loose parts or bulkier odd shaped heavier items. MWS willn find a shelving solution that is right for your parts stock room.

Clip Shelving

Clip shelving consists of 4 upright posts, shelves with clips, X bracing for open style or metal sides and backs for closed style shelving. Upright posts are available up to 16’1” in height. They are roll formed channels made from 14 gauge steel allowing 1 1/2” vertical shelf adjustment.


Upright posts are available in angle, beaded and heavy duty styles.



Shelves are available in heavy, medium or light duty construction (18, 20 or 22 gauge) to cover a wide range of capacity requirements. Sizes range from 24” to 60” wide and 9” to 36” deep. Capacities range from 200 # to 1,100 # per shelf. 500 to 600 # Shelf capacities are real common. MWS will work directly with you to ensure you purchase the correct capacity shelving.


Shelf Clips drop into the square holes in the upright posts (1 in each corner) to support the shelf. Using this style clip offers faster change outs of the vertical spacing between shelves should the customer wish to make slotting changes.

Shelving Types

Clip Shelving can be purchased in open or closed style shelving. The difference between the two consists of the metal sides and backs found in closed shelving which “closes up” the shelving keeping products cleaner, more organized and secure. Open Style works well for storage of sealed boxes or totes where products are contained and concern is low for products falling or tipping off the shelving without sides and backs supporting.


Open Style Shelving units provide economical storage for general purpose products or applications. Open shelving will allow light to penetrate the storage area and create a more open storage area. Open shelving will use side and back sway bracing to stabilize each section, the braces are punched to attach to the upright posts with nuts and bolts.

Closed Style Shelving units are used where storage applications require materials to have additional protection or containment. 24 Gauge steel sides and backs are used to close up the shelving and stabilize each section.

Shelving Accessories


Bin Divider Units offer a convenient low cost solution for organizing small parts or items for parts rooms, tooling departments, office supply areas, warehouses and assembly production floors. Bin dividers are formed from 22 gauge steel with a beaded end form clear and safe access. Dividers can be repositioned on the shelf to accommodate the changing storage needs.


Modular Drawers are available in 18” and 24” depths and provide secure storage for valuable parts, tools and other items. Modular drawers systems consist of the support frames and drawers with a combination of partitions and dividers. Drawer dividers can be purchased separately as needed.


Drawer Insert Units provide economical small parts storage in 36” wide clip shelving units. Insert units are 34 Ύ” wide x 10 Ύ” high and punched to accept drawer front labels. Drawer dividers can be purchased separately as needed.


Swinging and Sliding Doors units are made from 20 gauge steel housed in a16 gauge door frame. Each door is reinforced on the inside to prevent warping and sag. Each door set includes a full locking device providing reliable secure dry storage. Standard widths are 36” and 48”.


Shelf Boxes offer storage for small or loose parts. Boxes are 4 5/8” tall but available in 4 different widths and 3 depths.

Depths include: 11 5/8”, 17 5/8”, 23 5/8”

Plastic Bin Storage

Plastic Bin Storage provides an economical solution for unboxed loose parts or materials. Plastic totes can be ordered to fit directly to the shelf size depth, width and height desired. Plastic bin totes won’t rust or corrode and can be purchased in stackable design. MWS can provide hundreds of different bin storage configurations and options for plastic bin storage.

Rivet Wedge Lock

Wedge Lock Style shelving units consist of primary framing members that snap together for easy assembly without the need for bolts, clips or other time consuming fasteners. Wedge Lock Style Shelving is perfect for retail stock rooms, auto parts centers and archive storage warehouses excellent for storing larger bulkier items efficiently. Wedge Lock shelf bases consist of either 5/8” thick high density particle board or open mesh wire decking which-ever solution fits the customer’s application.

Work Benches & Shop Storage

Republic work benches are available in three pre-configured styles basic design to basic plus modular drawer storage. Work bench heights are easily changed by adding height adjustment sleeves along with foot plates or casters to the work bench configuration.

Basic Work Benches consist of a steel top, fixed height leg assemblies and a back stringer for stability.

Complete Work Benches consist of many options added to the basic design offering a more complete work bay center. Risers add additional overhead storage. Back stops contain the materials placed on the work bench top. Bottom Shelves add additional storage down low for heavier bulkier items. Sliding drawers with locking device provides lockable secure storage. Adjustable Legs provides an adjustable sleeve and foot plates to accommodate custom bench heights as desired.

All Welded Steel Bin Cabinets

Steel bin cabinets provide a secure & clean storage for valuable parts and tools. These all welded steel 14 gauge cabinets ship completely assembled. Cabinets can be 36” or 48” wide x 24” deep x 72” or 78” tall and can have many shelf and bin combinations in which they can be ordered.

Modular Cabinet Storage

MWS offers the complete line of Stanley Vidmar Modular Storage Cabinets for small parts storage. With six cabinet heights, 15 drawer heights and 103 of the most popular drawer interiors are combined into 128 of the most popular and versatile storage drawer cabinet configurations in use today.
