Mezzanines
Mezzanines are steel structures that serve as secondary floors and transforms previously unused vertical space into profitable storage space. Mezzanines are built using a fully bolted steel structure. The supporting columns are anchored to the floor, taking up as little floor space as possible. A series of beams are bolted on to the columns and the flooring system is fastened on top.
Mezzanines are designed to be built around the existing layout of your warehouse, matching its height, width, length and load requirements. MWS will measure and survey the warehouse and design a mezzanine to fit any manufacturing or distribution production floor. Although single level mezzanine floors are the most common, MWS & Cogan can design, build and install multilevel structures for almost any application.

Traditional single level mezzanines design with standard column layout, 3-rail hand rail, slide gate & stairs. Steel shelving us used underneath in single & back to back rows for picking and stocking access. The slide gate on the deck level offers a way for product to be lifting on & off the mezzanine as needed with the warehouse forklift.
Single level mezzanine designed to span over the top of traditional carton flow and shelving to create a pick module. The mezzanine deck level offers additional floor space to add carton flow & shelving directly above the existing system to increase capacity or simply utilize personnel or conveyor within this zone. These mezzanines typically designed using a 200pst design load.

Staircases: Open or Closed treads or ladders with open or closed risers. These staircases are built to last, yet are easy to assembly with simple nut & bolt connections and designed to fit exactly where you need them.
Handrails: 2 rail, 3 rail, or welded mesh. All with kick plate & designed to meet you codes.
Product Gates: Safety Gate, swing, sliding, lift-out, or diamond loading plates
Flooring Options: Flooring options are based on the type of mezzanine deck that will be used. Standard B-Deck steel, finished plywood or resin deck are the most common flooring used. There are other options available, so be sure to contact a MWS sales and we can show you samples & discuss which flooring type would best fit your application.
